Guest Technology Project Lead
Carnival Cruise Line’s Onboard Targeted Marketing team is seeking a dynamic Project Lead to support the successful implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of onboard marketing initiatives and content delivery on board our ships. This shipboard role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands shipboard logistics, and is passionate about enhancing the guest experience through targeted and relevant content, both in digital and paper campaigns.
The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of onboard programming, shipboard operations and key deadlines, as well as knowledge of shipboard content management systems. This role requires frequent travel across the fleet and close cooperation with both shoreside and onboard teams. Strong presentation skills are crucial, as the position involves delivering group presentations and conducting both team-based and one-on-one training sessions.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end launch and onboard execution of targeted marketing campaigns—including Positive Surprises, Invitations, Push Notifications, YML, QR Codes, and more—ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with guest engagement objectives.
- Serve as the primary shipboard liaison/contact for onboard targeted marketing crew inquiries; manage crew questions in the departmental inbox.
- Ensure all digital and printed marketing assets are approved, accurately displayed, and aligned with the Guest Commerce Plan; conduct audits during ship visits and oversee printed collateral libraries.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and escalate technical or operational issues related to campaign delivery and execution, both digital and paper
- Support the validation and testing of new features and tools in a live shipboard environment, working closely with the Senior Specialist, Onboard Targeted Marketing.
- Manage inventory of printed materials and supplies across the fleet for all targeted marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and continuously improve departmental Standard Operating Procedures; ensure the crew guides in the departmental SharePoint site remains up to date.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions with multiple onboard teams, including senior officers, and deliver actionable feedback to the Manager, Onboard Targeted Marketing.
- Collect and synthesize feedback from guests and crew on ship visit reports, to inform future program enhancements, outline findings and actions required.
- Develop and maintain reporting methodologies that will inform future program enhancement from a revenue and operations standpoint, for both ship and shore teams.
Position requirements:
- 4+ years of shipboard experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of shipboard operations; experience with content management systems and onboard applications.
- Prior experience in a guest-facing or hospitality role is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience in training is a plus.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, perceptive, and capable of working independently in a dynamic fleet environment.
- Excellent analytical and marketing skills.

This is a Shipboard position that operates on a rolling contract basis, with scheduled vacation breaks reporting to the Manager of Onboard Targeted Marketing Shoreside.
