 Working as part of a small but dedicated Human Resources team onboard HR Coordinators support the HR Services Manager and the rest of the HR team.


Essential Functions:

  • Represent the Shipboard HR Department in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Consistently act as a model of Hospitality and display the Carnival Values in all interactions by providing prompt, courteous and friendly services.
  • Support the HR Services Manager in all administrative functions.
  • Effectively and diligently manage team accommodations and employee spaces.
  • Handle float and On Board Credit (OBC) transactions.
  • Actively participate in all drills, seminars and training programs as directed by the HR Services Manager and HR Director.
  • Diligently control , monitor and manage the cost efficiency of the HR Department.
  • Effectively, promptly and transparently communicate with peers, shipboard management, HR Director and HR Services Manager.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  3. Support the HR Service Manager in all administrative functions.
  4. Effectively and diligently manage team accommodations and employee spaces.
  5. Diligently manage all financial transactions in the Crew Office.
  6. Actively participate in all drills, seminars and training programs as directed by the HR Director, and HR Service Manager.
  7. Diligently control, monitor and manage the cost efficiency of the HR department.
  8. Effectively, promptly and transparently communicate with peers, shipboard management and HR Services Manager.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a related field from an accredited college, university or the international equivalent.
  • Some experience as a Crew Office Admin/Purser, HR Administrative or similar HR position, in particular working with employee relations, crew movement and/or crew management is preferred
  • Knowledge of onboarding crew, employee relations, conflict management and team development in the Hospitality or Marine industry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related programs
