Set sail on a new career with Carnival, and help us bring the FUN to life aboard one of our fantastic vessels! We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us a Room Service Operators! This role will see you working on the front line providing outstanding service to our guests.  

 

The Room Service Operator is the friendly voice that answers the telephone to take guest room service orders and assists guest with any and every query or question they may have.  Along with taking the orders the Room Service Operator oversees a team of Assistant Waiters in Room Service ensuring that all orders are correct and delivered to our guests in a timely manner. They are the point of contact available 24 hours a day to answer questions and offer assistance.  

 

As with all of our team members, you’ll be a highly visible member of the team, and will constantly interact with our guests and helping them with questions. The vacation experience we promise our guests will start with you! 


Job Functions

  • Report for duty on time and groomed appropriately.
  • To be knowledgeable of all functions and operations of the Ship in general. 
  • Oversee the Assistant Waiters in Room Service. 
  • Check the trays that leaves Room Service for correct set-up. 
  • Submit a shift report and bring to the attention of the Assistant Maitre'D/ Maitre'D / F&B Manager any matters that need their attention. 
  • Issue in-cabin beverages on non mini bar ships to Stateroom Stewards, and punch the check accordingly. 
  • Perform an accurate handover to the next shift with regard to inventories of Revenue items. 
  • Report any lost / broken / missing items to the Assistant Maitre'D.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience Level

You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

English Proficiency

Advanced level proficiency in English is required.

Guest Facing Experience

Customer service experience gained in a similar role is required.

Physically Fit

You must pass a Seafarers Medical Fitness Examination.
