Your Responsibilities and Tasks: What will you be doing? 

• Reports to 1st Bosun
• he/ She will be assigned to daily maintenance through the ship exterior, interior, and LSA
• Support the 1st Bosun in the carrying out of his /her functions
• responsible for painting the lockers
• Responsible for environmental safety and impacts
• Reports to 1st Bosun for job assignment
• On a daily basis inspects the paint lockers for cleanliness
• Ensure that all aspects of the company's policies and procedures applicable to his/her job tasks are properly carried out, including but not limited to
• The proper labeling of all hazardous material containers, including those which may be temporarily used
• The proper storage and containment of hazardous chemicals, including paints
• The proper precautionary procedures specified by the company when painting onboard or over the side
• The proper application of the company personnel protection program and protection of the environment as per ENW Procedures
• Supervise Cherry Picker floating platform, genie lift, and work aloft service and ensure all operations are safe and in compliance with the environmental policies and procedures
• Manage and coach all deck ratings in everyday operation and maintenance
• Assist the 1st Bosun in on-the-day training and coaching Ratings for Deck dept
• Oversees and performs the cleaning and painting of Fresh Water tanks, Void Spaces, and Heeling Tanks
• Supervise and perform Funnel cleaning and painting
• Perform Arrival and Departure maneuvers as required by ship's schedule
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
• Perform routine inspection of all open decks and crew areas

Minimum Requirements: What do you think you could bring to the table? 

• Minimal 6 months of proven shipboard experience as an Ordinary Seaman
• High School Diploma, Technical training
• Basic STCW Training, preferably COP II/4
• English Language proficiency 
• Follow Carnival’s Occupational and Health policies and procedures at all times
• Ability to work well with a team
• Understand the basic principles of Bridge Resource Management
• Represent the Carnival brand

Minimum Requirements: What do you bring to the table? 

• Minimal 6 months proven shipboard experience in the role
• High School Diploma, Technical training
• Basic STCW Trainings, preferably COP II/4
• English Language proficiency
• Follow Carnival’s Occupational and Health policies and procedures at all times
• Ability to work well with a team
• Understanding the basic principles of Bridge Resource Management
• Represent the Carnival Brand
