Set sail on a new career with Carnival, and help us bring the FUN to life aboard one of our fantastic vessels! We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us as JR Inventory Controller!

 

As part of our amazing Engine Team, the JR Inventory Controller is responsible for efficiently and organizedly managing the inventory on board to guarantee adequate storage and requisition of engine spare parts on board the ship. The JR Inventory Controller works alongside the Maintenance Engineer and reports to Staff CE.

JR Inventory Controller is a vital part of the Technical team, which works hard behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

·      Assisting the Team Leaders with an inventory of equipment and materials in the non-locked engine department stores, all over the engine department responsible for:

o  Eyewash station checks, labeling, and refilling

o  First Aid kit checks, labeling, and refilling

o  Heavy object,s securing register check,s and updating files

o  Ladders checks, inventory, and logs

o  Pest management

o  Hazardous waste process administration, inventory, collection, and disposal

·      Jr Inventory Controller is the sole key holder andis accountable for the stock levels for assigned stores to be locked and control access to it

·      Ensuring proper storage and labeling of all materials and equipment under his/her control in compliance with the Company’s procedure

·      Handling of receiving and landing of all materials related to the engine department

·      Ensuring that delivered spare parts are checked against completeness and proper delivery by the team leaders of the engine department

·      In charge to update the internal database (Infoship), modify system data according to procurement and maintenance purposes advised by the Chief Engineer or Team leader in charge

·      Ordering and performing inventory for consumables

·      Preparing the summary of cargo landing manifest

·      Use of forklifts as required


Minimum Requirements: What do you bring to the table? 


  • Minimum 12 months of experience in the field
  • High School Diploma, Technical training; suitable applicant must be +21 years old
  • Basic Training Certificates as per the STCW standard
  • English language proficiency
  • Strong focus on the ship's safety management
  • Ability to work well with a team


Preferred Requirements: What would we love to see? 

  • Shipboard experience in the same capacity on cruise ship


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience Level

You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

English Proficiency

Intermediate level proficiency in English is required.

Guest Facing Experience

Minimum guest interaction might be required.

Physically Fit

You must pass a Seafarers Medical Fitness Examination.
