Set sail with Carnival Cruise Line and help us bring the FUN to life aboard one of our fantastic vessels as a Patissier.

 

Our guest love to eat, and with all the amazing food on board our ships, especially all the cakes, cookies and amazing sweet treats produced by our wonderful Pastry team - and who can blame them? As a Patissier, you will be involved in the daily preparation of all cakes, cookies, desserts and pastries, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation and sanitation standards Your duties include:


  • To produce desserts and pastries for the guests and crew consumption as the company's standards and specifications
  •  To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene
  • To maintain a high standard of discipline and timekeeping
  • To carry out the duties as directed by the Chef de Partie - Pastry
  • To maintain high standards of USPH and proper handling of food and keep your area and equipment clean and tidy
  • To have complete knowledge of the equipment handled, their proper cleaning and maintenance
  • To work any shift given by the Chef
  • To assist the Chef de Partie in checking the items received from the storeroom for the right quantities and in checking the returns
  • To work in cooperation with fellow Pastry team members and other crew members
  • To make sure that guest expectations are exceeded
  • To control wastage and thus keep department costs within the budget
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience Level

You should have at least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.

Conversational English

Fluency in spoken English to connect with guests is required.

Guest Facing Experience

Minimum guest interaction might be required.

Physically Fit

You must pass a Seafarers Medical Fitness Examination.
